Nanny Canine at 2009 Regional Home & Garden Show! ![]() Jennifer greets booth visitors during the 2009 Regional Home & Garden Show. As a member of the Home Builders Association of Tri-Cities, WA, Nanny Canine jumped in with all fours to introduce the benefits of its in-home pet care services to booth visitors at the 2009 Regional Home & Garden Show. The exciting event was held at TRAC in Pasco, February 20-22. "What a privilege to help pet parents find the best alternative to kennel boarding!", says Veronica McGlothan, principal and chief Min Pin of Nanny Canine. "It was so much fun meeting so many pet parents, pet grandparents, and learning about their pet families," stated Paula Azzlin, special projects assistant for Nanny Canine. ![]() "The public was overwhelmingly excited to learn of our loving, experienced team of pet nannies who can identify health concerns and administer medications; care for various types of pets with varying backgrounds; spend the night and care for their home; and offer personalized care to their "babies" while they're at work, or away on vacation," states McGlothan.
Not Just Another Day at the Park ![]() The Benton Franklin Humane Society sponsored Paws in the Park, held at Columbia Park in Kennewick, Saturday, September 13, 2008. Nanny Canine created an agility course and led "tricks" and "cutest dog" contests. Other participants included The Tri-City Dog Park Society, VCA Animal Medical Center of Richland, Baker Boyer Bank, and several other pet friendly businesses.

Nanny Canine donated one dollar ($1) for each in-home pet care reservation made in December 2007, to the Benton Franklin County Humane Society. As January 2008 neared, Nanny Canine owner and chief Min-Pin, Veronica Alford-McGlothan, decided to extend the donation period by an additional month, raising $20.00 for the Benton Franklin County Humane Society. "Granted, we didn’t raise a lot of money," says Veronica, “but the listeners, viewers, and readers reached by our radio, television, and newspaper print promotions on their behalf, was significant! I can only hope that our efforts helped entice prospective pet owners to adopt pets from the Benton Franklin County Humane Society in December. Never Too Safe Sure. You’ve heard of first aid for humans. But did you know that there is first aid training for pet health care issues, too? Canine’s Veronica Alford-McGlothan, completed a Pet First Aid course, sponsored by the Benton-Franklin Chapter of the American Red Cross, January 2008. Janine Swaile, DVM, of Meadow Hills Veterinary Center instructed the 2-hour course. Nanny Canine requires each of its pet nannies to enroll in the Pet First Aid class in order to be better prepared for a pet emergency. Want more information?
